In this production release (June 23), Authors now have the option to add program descriptions. Learners will receive their username in the welcome email to ease the process of logging in for the first time. Also, course icons have been updated. A bug fix is included. Authors can now enter descriptions for programs by clicking on the Program Description field and filling out a short summary of the program. These descriptions will help Authors and Admins understand what the program is about.
Username in Welcome Emails
The Bridge welcome email will now include the Learner’s username rather than their email address. This will help prevent some confusion for Learners whose username might be an employee number or their first initial and last name. In cases where the Learner’s username is their email address, the email address will be included in the welcome email.
Course icons have been updated. Active courses that have not been started are represented by a blue book inside a grey circle. Inactive or locked courses are represented by a grey book and circle. Completed courses will be shown with the blue checkmark and circle icon. Courses that have been started but not completed will be indicated by a blue book and blue circle, which reflects the Learner's current progress. If a course needs to be retaken, the pink book and circle icon will be shown next to the course title. Overdue courses will be represented by a pink book with a grey circle.
Bridge Invitation Links
Admins can now copy the Bridge invitation link immediately after adding an email address and saving the change on the Learner’s profile. Previously, the link would display only after the email address was added and the page was manually refreshed.
