In this production release (June 30), four new widgets have been added to the admin and manager dashboard allowing for quick access to a variety of information about how learners are using Bridge. The help menu has been modified to allow custom contact information. The course, program, and live training index pages will now be sorted by the date in which they were last updated. Additionally, an update to the functionality of course locking has been made. A bug fix is also included. (Click an image to enlarge screenshot)
Admin and Manager Dashboard Widgets
Four new widgets have been added to the admin and manager dashboard. The first widget shows both the number and percentage of Bridge users who have logged in during the specified time frame. The second widget shows how long it takes learners to complete a course after they have been enrolled. The last two widgets show how many total hours have been spent on taking courses and what day of the week learners prefer to use Bridge. Along with this new addition of widgets, the time frame drop-down menus for the overdue and completed learners widgets have been replaced with a singular drop-down menu at the top of the dashboard page. This new date range menu will apply to all statistics located on the dashboard, including the widgets.
Customized Help Contact Information
The help links in Bridge have been updated to allow the display of custom contact information for learners and Bridge contact information for admins or authors. This allows customers to provide their own communication channels for learner support. Talk to your Customer Success Manager if you are interested in enabling this feature. Immediate requests for changes to the contact information will be reflected in accounts beginning on July 5th.
The course, program, and live training index pages now show items sorted by the date they were updated by default. The list of items can still be manually sorted alphabetically by title or by date created.
Editor Lockout (Course Locking)
If an author is in the course editor but has not edited the course in 15 minutes, the course lock will be automatically extended. This lock extension only applies if no other users have attempted to edit the course after the author has made their last change. This removes the need for authors to relaunch to course editor after a 15 minute period of inactivity. The notification of the course lock has also been updated to show the editor's avatar in a pop-up dialogue box.
Emails in Preferred Language
Email notifications default to the individual learner preferences that are set in the learner’s profile settings. If the learner has not made changes to the language preferences, the notifications will be sent in the default language of the account or subaccount. Subaccount language preferences will override the top-level account default language. Previously, emails would be sent in the default language of the learner’s account, regardless of language settings in either the learner’s profile or subaccount.
