In this production release (February 2), authors can see a preview of what their course will look like to learners on different devices. Authors are also able to add specific web conferencing information to Live Trainings. Additionally, the layout of sessions on the Live Training page has been redesigned for easier session management. The Bridge Community includes a revamped Product space for admins to engage with other community members and collaborate on potential upcoming features. A bug fix is also included. Authors can use the new Preview icon to toggle between the learner view and the course editor when creating or editing a course. The course preview includes the option to view the course as it will be displayed to learners on a desktop, tablet, or phone. This new feature gives authors a fast and easy way to gauge the overall design and the mobile-friendliness of their content without having to navigate away from the editor.
Web Conferencing in Live Trainings
Live Training sessions now provide designated fields for web conferencing information to make it easier for learners to keep track of meeting IDs, access codes, and other web conference information. Authors can specify the web conferencing platform and include any necessary details that will be needed to join the session. Authors can choose to apply the web conference information to all sessions within the Live Training. An option to set the information as default for future sessions can also be enabled.
Live Training Notification on My Learning Page
On the My Learning page, learner’s Live Training sessions that are scheduled to begin within an hour will be highlighted in blue. The session will remain highlighted until the session is scheduled to end. Sessions that have web conferencing information provided by the author will show a Join Session button. The Join Session button will automatically take the learner to the URL that was provided by the author during the live training setup process.
Live Training Session Layout
The layout of the Live Training page has been redesigned to include Session Cards instead of a list of sessions. This new layout provides authors with a cleaner and more organized view of all sessions of the training. Hovering the cursor over a session card provides additional menu options such as session deletion, attendee management, session editing, and open enrollment link sharing.
New Product Space for Admins
In the Bridge Community, admins now have the ability to follow ideation groups, collaborate on user submitted ideas, and submit ideas in the Customer Lounge rather than submitting ideas through the Bridge team. Admins will still be able to view the quarterly roadmap and view new features that have been released. The new space has been consists of a Landing page, a Submit and Explore page, a Developing page, and a Completed page. Full details can be found here. Avatars in Live Trainings
Avatars that utilize a learner’s profile picture will be displayed in the attendance section of the Live Training Session page. Previously, the default gradient avatar with the learner’s initials were shown even if learners had uploaded a profile picture. Additional unintended behavior included a learner’s previously-set Gravatar image being used in place of their current profile picture.
