How do I manage account settings in my account?

IT admins and account admins have the ability to view and manage several default settings in their accounts. These settings include authentication, API tokens, and apps.

In the Account Settings menu [1], click the Manage Account link [2].

The Manage Account page defaults to the Settings tab [1].

The default language for the account can be chosen from the Language drop-down menu [2]. Learners in the account can set their own language preference on an individual basis.

The account's default timezone can be set by selecting a timezone from the Default Timezone drop-down menu [3].

The Limit Manager Permissions setting [4] lets managers view and monitor progress of learners within their domain but restricts their ability to author and enroll learners in learning content items.

The Allow Bridge to be Embedded in an iFrame setting [5] allows Bridge to be embedded in an iFrame for learners. To add an iFrame host, enter the URL in the iFrame Host field [6]. Multiple URLs must be separated by a space.

Notes:

  • The Settings tab is not available in sub accounts.
  • iFrame host URLs must begin with https:// or http://.

Notifications can be enabled or disabled for email and Slack by clicking the Email and Slack notification toggle buttons.

Customized support contact information can be provided to learners as a way to get help with Bridge. This custom contact information is reflected in the Learner Profile menu.

In the Auth tab [1], you can enable authentication providers for your account. To enable an authentication provider, click the Enable button [2].

Note: The Auth tab is not available in sub accounts.

To enable an authentication provider, enter your information in the required fields [1] and click the Save button [2]. The fields displayed will vary based on the authentication provider selected.

Note: For help with obtaining metadata and other information needed to enable authentication, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Manage API Tokens

In the API tab [1], you can create and manage API tokens for your account. To create a new API token, click the Add Token button [2].

You can also view details for existing API tokens [3]. To edit an API token, click the Edit icon [4]. To delete an API token, click the Delete icon [5].

Manage Apps

In the Apps tab [1], you can enable and disable apps such as Slack [2], Lynda.com [3], and Arc [4] for your account. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for help with initial setup and configuration.

Note: The Lynda.com app cannot be configured within a sub account. Sub accounts will inherit the app configuration for Lynda.com set at the root account.
