Exercises can be edited while they are a draft and even after they have been published. However, you should be extremely careful and selective about editing Exercises that Learners have interacted with, as any changes that are made will impact Groups currently using the Exercise.

  Exercise in Use Warning

The following message will display if you try to make changes to an Exercise that Learners have interacted with: “Warning: Exercise in Use. Learners in at least one group have previously interacted with this exercise. Please be mindful that your edits could affect the performance of future learners participating in this exercise. To ensure data integrity, certain types of edits are disabled.”

If that message is displayed, you will not be able to:

  • Add or remove assessment criterion
  • Make changes to the scale of assessment criterion
  • Add or remove “structured feedback” questions
  • Add, remove or change and competencies that have been associated with the assessment criterion

You are still able to edit the text of all aspects of an Exercise at any point.
