You may upload audio-only Submissions to an ApprenNet Exercise as an .mp4 file. To do this, you will need to do the following:
- Record an .mp3 file
- Convert the .mp3 file to an .mp4 file
- Upload the .mp4 file
The following breaks down each step in this process.
Record an .mp3 file
When just recording audio, you will be recording an .mp3 of your response to the Challenge from the Exercise. There is a wide variety of software available for both Mac and PC that allows you to create your own audio files. You do not need to use our recommendations, but make sure that whatever software you do use allows you to export your file as an .mp3 file.
If you have a Mac, we recommend using GarageBand to record your audio file. You reference this walkthrough for step-by-step instructions.
If you have a PC, we recommend using Audacity to record your audio file. You can reference this walkthrough for step-by-step instructions.
Convert the .mp3 file to an .mp4 file.
