In this Bridge Learn release (August 30), smart groups feature improved filter customization. Additionally, LTI integrations can support functionality for authors to embed rich content in course slides. A bug fix is also included.

Updated Features

Smart Group Filters

Smart groups feature improved filter customization. The improved filtering options support grouping multiple values together in a single rule filter. Within a rule, all values are filtered with "or" logic in relation to each other.

Select a field for smart group

For example, if an admin chooses two separate user titles within the Title Is rule field (such as "Executive" and "Associate"), the filter will display learners with either the Executive title or the Associate title in the smart group filter results.

Each rule field also includes a search bar, which admins can use to search for specific values to add to the rule. Existing smart groups will continue to have their current rules applied, but their group editing options have been improved. This filtering functionality improves admins’ ability to target specific learners with the content that is right for them.

Course Slide LTI Content

LTI integrations can support functionality for authors to embed rich content in course slides. Whether or not rich content can be embedded in a course slide depends upon the LTI's capabilities. This functionality expands the options for embedding rich content in course slides, which was previously limited to Arc, Vimeo, and YouTube.
