What are the BridgeLIVE event types?

When creating an event, you can choose between different event types. Any Community member can promote a virtual or on-site event in BridgeLIVE. If you need help finding a conferencing tool, or setting up an event, please contact community@instructure.com.

PANEL DISCUSSIONCurated events where a moderator brings together a group of people for a discussion about a tool or topic.Virtual or On-Site

(30-60 mins)
  • Sharing different POVs
  • Bringing together experts to address challenges, needs, and/or best practices
QUICK DEMOShort informal demonstrations of a tool in action. If you want to demo a 3rd party tool (like an LTI), be sure to focus on its integration with Bridge and mention any costs.Virtual

(5-30 mins)
  • Demonstrating a feature
  • Demonstrating 3rd-party integrations
  • (No demos of features in closed beta, please)
WORKSHOPWorkshops hosted by a community member or organization.Virtual or On-Site

(1hr-half day)
  • Networking on location
  • Sharing tips and tricks
  • Manager/Author trainings
GAME or PARTYWho doesn't like to party or play games? If you want to host a game or party event, this is for you!Virtual

(15-60 mins)
  • Networking on location
  • Sharing tips and tricks
  • Manager/Author trainings
CONFERENCE or TRADE SHOWOn-Site conferences or trade shows promoted in BridgeLIVE. This includes UnConferences, too!Virtual or On-Site

(variable days)
  • Day(s) filled with multiple sessions/tracks
  • Conference Keynotes
  • Free or Fee-based events
WEBINAREvents presented by one person or a group of people on a specific tool or topic of interest. It often includes a slide deck with open Q&A throughout (or at the end of) the session.Virtual

(15-60 mins)
  • Sharing tips and tricks
  • Topic deep-dives
  • Processes & checklists
