This document is part of Step 5: Performance Conversations in the Bridge Playbook.

Performance conversations introduce periodic updates for managers to check in with their employees, reflect on their achievements, plan for the future, and refine their career development plans.

Timeline dates are based on the number of days before or after the date you roll out Performance Conversations to your company. For instance, T-1 represents one day before your launch date, while T+7 represents seven days after your launch date.

*Variable times require additional planning and implementation as determined by the needs of your company

Setup

T-30 Configure Performance Conversation Settings

Manage the Performance Conversation Settings in Bridge and configure the timing of performance conversations and reminders. Performance Conversations are recommended to be completed quarterly, with reminders 7 days in advance and the day before, and a reminder 5 days afterwards. These reminders will be automatically sent during the rollout phase.

You should also review the Performance Conversations template—consider adding additional questions you’d like people to address in the Other section.

T+21 Encourage Continuous Culture Adoption

Prep time average: variable*

Using your latest Engagement Survey results and performance conversations analytics, continue to encourage adoption throughout your company:

  • Where are the pain points in your company?
  • Which departments have not adopted frequent performance conversations? How can you find out more about their lack of adoption? How can you help?
  • How do employees feel about performance conversations? Is the frequency too much or too little?

You may consider adding some additional questions to your Engagement Survey for feedback about performance conversation culture adoption.
