How do I prepare a Performance Conversation agenda using the Performance Conversation Wizard as a manager?

As a manager, using the Performance Conversation Wizard helps you prepare a Performance Conversation agenda to have career and growth discussions with your employees to ensure their career paths stay a priority.

Notes:

  • An employee cannot see what a manager writes in their half of the agenda until the manager starts the Performance Conversation.
  • A manager can preview their employee's half of the agenda before the Performance Conversation starts but only after completing their own half of the agenda.
  • Only a manager can start or complete a Performance Conversation.
  • A manager can start a Performance Conversation even if the employee has not filled out their half of the Performance Conversation agenda.

In the Global Navigation menu, click the Application Switcher icon [1], then click the My Team option [2].

Note: The Global Navigation menu may differ depending on what is enabled in your account.

View Performance Conversation Message

If your organization has scheduled Performance Conversations, you can begin creating Performance Conversation agendas for all your employees by clicking the Get Started button [1]. To create Performance Conversation agendas at a later date, click the Not Now link [2].`

To view your Performance Conversation agendas, click the Performance Conversations tab [1]. If your employee has prepared and shared their half of the agenda, the checkmark next to their name will be filled [2]. To begin, click the View Agenda button [3].

Notes: 

  • If you have completed the wizard, a View Agenda button is displayed.
  • If you started creating an agenda but didn't finish, the Resume button is displayed.
  • You can close and resume the wizard at any time.

If your employee has not created an agenda yet, a message inviting you to create an agenda will display. If your employee has already prepared their half of the agenda a slightly different message will display. To begin preparing your agenda, click the Get Started button.

Complete Wins Section

In the Wins section, you can add achievements and celebrate items that you are proud of your employee accomplishing. All your changes are saved automatically. You can add notes in the text field [1]. You can view and add goals that have been completed or that are going well for your employee [2] and you can add achievements [3]. You can also view the privacy level of all your notes [4].

To move to the next section, click the Continue button [5].

In the Plan section, you can add your plans to help your employee grow and improve their skills. You can add notes in the text field [1]. You can view and add goals that will help your employee succeed [2], add tasks [3], and you can add learning items [4].

To move to the next section, click the Continue button [5].

In the Other section, you can add notes [1] to discuss with your employee. Once you complete adding notes, click the Submit button [2].

View your Performance Conversation agenda. To start the Performance Conversation, click the Start Conversation button. Once you start the Performance conversation, your half of the agenda will be visible to the employee.
