Release Notes 2021-02-26

Learn

In this Bridge Learn release (Feb 26), CAS (or Central Authentication Service) is supported in the mobile app. In the Users report in the Tableau Connector, we’ve added the ability to include custom fields when the users are imported into that system. iOS users were unable to download course attachments from the mobile app. The Slack app has been deprecated.

Updated Feature

CAS Supported on Mobile App!

CAS (or Central Authentication Service) is supported in the mobile app; accounts with this setup can log in and use the Mobile App at this time! CAS is one type of Single Sign On (SSO) system that could be set up to login to the system. If you’re unsure what kind of authentication your account uses, you can ask your Admin or IT personnel.

Customer User Fields added to Tableau Connector

In the Users report in the Tableau Connector, we’ve added the ability to include custom fields when the users are imported into that system. After the user has selected the List Users table they can click on the “Show/Hide Optional Parameters” button, the first field labeled “Includes” can be used to Include those custom fields; by default, this is set not to include those fields. Note: Using this connector requires that you have your own Tableau account.

Bug Fix

Downloading Attachments inside courses in the Mobile App (iOS)

iOS users were unable to download course attachments from the mobile app. We’ve corrected this behavior, and users on Apple devices should have no issues downloading those attachments.

Additional Information

Slack App Deprecation

Bridge had two different integrations with Slack: notifications and searching the library, and enrolling in learning items. The library search and enrollment options are no longer available or accessible within the app. Notifications will remain intact and will continue to function as they do now.

Please contact your Customer Success Manager if you have any additional questions.

Performance

In this Bridge Performance release (Feb 26), Cycle Stages are a new option for Performance Conversation cycles where Admins will be able to schedule stages for the performance review in a sequence. You can run a Performance Conversation cycle for a subset of employees rather than the entire organization. You can enable ratings in a Performance Conversation which will display in the final step in the Performance Conversation flow.

New Features

Performance Conversation Staged Cycles

Cycle Stages are a new option for Performance Conversation cycles where Admins will be able to schedule stages for the performance review in a sequence. The four stages are Employee Review, Manager Review, Calibration, and Performance Conversation. When creating the cycle the admin will be able to choose the “Staged” type and continue the setup by providing the stage start and due dates.

Employee Selection in Performance Conversation Cycles

You can run a Performance Conversation cycle for a subset of employees rather than the entire organization. When creating a cycle you will be able to update a list of Employees and Managers (or another Reviewer) whom they wish to participate in this cycle via CSV. This feature also allows you to map someone who is not the manager by the org chart to be assigned as the review in a Performance Conversation. It also gives you the ability to exclude certain employees from a cycle.

Performance Conversations Employee Ratings

You can enable ratings in a Performance Conversation which will display in the final step in the Performance Conversation flow. Employees will be asked to give a self-rating and managers will be asked to give their rating of the employee, as well as a comment, both of which will be required to submit the conversation if enabled. You can download collected ratings in the Insights > Performance Conversation for the current active cycle.
