Learner profiles are enabled for our customers who (1) have Skills enabled with their Learn accounts or (2) have full Learn and Perform accounts. The screenshots in this example are taken from a Learn account with Skills enabled in the account.
Under Me, learners have access to their profile where they can see their manager and teammates.
They can edit their profile to include a profile picture and a brief highlight of themselves. This will be viewable by the entire organization.
Skills View
There are three options: skills you have, skills you can help others with, and skills you want to develop.
If they start to type in a skill, they will find a pre-populated list of skills that will be consistent across the company.
Interests View
They can insert any free text they’d like into their interests. If other colleagues have similar interests that have already been put into the system, those will also pre-populate.
Once updated, their profile will look something like the screenshot below, and it can always be updated. These are not required fields, but we do highly recommend filling them out so that teammates can get to know the user better and managers can best support the user.
Colleagues can find a user’s profile in two ways.
Through the Org Chart
Everyone will be able to travel to Company > Org Chart to look up all employees in the company. Users can travel vertically and horizontally across this chart to find teammates (they can also go to People Search if they are trying to find a specific colleague). Clicking on an individual in this chart will expose an option to “visit profile” for that individual.
Through the Skill Community
The other way they can find a teammate’s profile is if they have a shared interest in helping with a skill or their teammate can help with a skill that they are wanting to learn.
