The Talent Review tool allows managers and executives to plan for their employees' future. The Talent Review tool also assists in determining which employees are meeting their potential and which may need additional resources to succeed. Account admins can customize and format several components of the Talent Review tool and begin and end review cycles.
Notes:
• Talent review data may contain private or sensitive information. Facilitator permissions should extend only to those authorized to view and edit sensitive employee data.
• An admin must enable this feature before you can access the tool.
• Some features may be restricted based on user role permissions.
Start New Cycle
Once your talent review settings are customized, scroll to the top of the page and click the Create New Cycle button to open a new review cycle.
Note: Talent Review questions cannot be customized during an open cycle.
Once you create the new cycle you will be asked to provide a Cycle Name [1] and choose the type of cycle you would like to use for this Talent Review.
There are two type options for a Talent Review Cycle. Single Axis View [2]; this segments your employees around criteria that are based on a single dimension. It's a simple way to review talent within your organization. The other option is a 9 Box Grid [3]; this segments employees based on two dimensions and three values each thus resulting in a 9-box grid layout.
Once you've set these options hit Save and Continue [4] to proceed with set up for the cycle or Cancel [5] to delete the cycle you've started.

Dimension Questions
Account admins and facilitators can customize the Talent Review 9 Box axis titles [1], questions [2], question descriptions [3], and categories [4] to fit the specific goals and needs of an organization. You are able to elaborate further on the questions categories by adding an optional description [5].
For each question, the least desirable characteristic should be entered as the first category [6], a neutral characteristic as the second category [7], and the most desirable characteristic in your employees as the last category [8]. To edit the default text of any of these fields, click the existing text field and add your own text.
Recommended Questions
The Recommended questions are designed to uncover insights about an employee that are crucial to talent review discussion. They can be toggled off or on but cannot be altered.
Single Access
Dimension Question
Account admins and facilitators can customize the Talent Review single axis question [1] and question descriptions [2] The most desirable characteristic in your employees should be entered as the first category and the least desirable characteristic as the last category. All categories can be given a description if desired.
Recommended Questions
The recommended questions are designed to uncover insights about an employee that are crucial to talent review discussion. The first are promotion and promotion health. These two options cannot be edited but the promotion question can be toggled off.
The other question options that are available for you to use regard Achievement, Ability, Attitude, and Ambition. These all can have the ability to be renamed and the description updated to match appropriate. You can also update the answer and answers description.
The Successors question can be toggled off/on. If it is on you will be able to select a person from a dropdown list of users within your company's account; more than one user can be selected.
Create Custom Questions
You can create custom questions for your talent review cycle for both 9-grid and single axis cycle types. You can choose if you want to be able to select only one option or multiple ones [1]. Custom questions can also be made to be optional or required [2]. You have the ability to delete [4] custom questions at any time. At the bottom there is an option to +Add Question [4] if you'd like to add more than one custom question.
Manage Participants
Once you've set the questions for the review cycle you will want to select the people that will be reviewing the employees. There are two options for participants Facilitators and Reviewers.
Facilitators [1] are individuals that have access to all talent review information company-wide. This is managed by the role(s) that have been given the Talent Review permission in the Roles & Permissions area.
Reviewers [2] are managers that are only able to do a review for their direct reports and those below their reporting structure. If you have a group of managers that you would like to have review their reports you can use the Groups [3] option. This will set every person in the group as a Reviewer. You can also add the users individually with the Users [4] option.
Note: Setting a Managers Group in the groups option will not give the Manager access to review his employees. This will set the people in the Group as reviewers, since the manager is not part of their group they will not be given access to review their employees.
End Current Review Cycle
There are two ways you can immediately close a cycle that is complete. You can access the cycle by either clicking on the name of the cycle and selecting Close Cycle [1]. You can also click on the 3-got menu [2] to the right of the cycle information and select End Talent Review [3].
Duplicate Cycle
If there is a cycle that is set up in a manner you'd like to use multiple times you can duplicate the cycle. To do this click on the 3-dot menu and then Duplicate Cycle.
