Journeys Scheduling FAQs

FAQs

When will Journeys Scheduling be released?

By the time this FAQ is available, all limited release customers should have the feature available. If you cannot access it, please contact our support team.

How to schedule a step

When adding a step, after selecting a Program, the following options will appear.

  • Available immediately: Activates once the prior step is completed
  • Available on a specific date: Activates once the prior step is completed and no earlier than the specified date
  • Available after a delay: Activates once the prior step is completed and the delayed timeframe is met

Is it possible to change the schedule later?

Yes, the schedule can be changed using the Edit Schedule button on any step.

What happens with the already enrolled users if the schedule is changed?

Those who have already activated the step will not lose access to it, even if the delay has been increased. All other users will have the step activated based on the new schedule.

When will the steps activate?

All delayed steps (those not activated immediately after the prior step) activated at 00:00 based on the account’s timezone.

This means that a step with a one-day delay will activate on the next day after the prior step is completed.

How does delay by weeks work?

Delaying by a week means that the next step will activate on the same day at 00:00 as the prior step has been completed, just a week later.

How does delay by months work?

Delaying by a month means that the next step will activate on the same day of the month at 00:00 as the prior step has been completed. If the next month does not have the same day, then the step will activate on the last day of the next month at 00:00.

Is it possible to delay the first step after enrollment?

Yes, it is. Adding delay to the first step achieves that.

What happens with the delays if the steps are reordered?

The steps will keep their delay as scheduling is attached to the steps. If the first step has 3 days of delay and the second step has 5 days of delay, then if they are switched, the new first step will have 5 days of delay.

What happens if a user activates a step that contains a Program, the user has already completed?

In that case, the step is treated as if the user would complete it immediately.

What are the future plans for Journeys Scheduling?

Currently, it’s not possible to select an anchor for delaying multiple steps (eg. delay all the steps based on enrollment), so it is something we are planning to add in the future, although there is no ETA for it.
