How do I use Bridge Advanced Video through the Editor?

Bridge Advanced Video integrates with Bridge and allows authors, managers, or admins to integrate media interaction in their courses

Open Media

In the toolbar, click the Media icon.

Open Bridge Advanced Video

Click the Bridge Advanced Video icon.

Bridge Advanced Video Interface

Once you click the Bridge Advanced Video icon you'll be presented with the interface to upload and create videos. From this page you'll see the Breadcrumb Navigation Menu [1], an option to search for previously uploaded videos with the Search Library button [2], and you'll also be able to Create Containers [3], Record Videos [4], add media through an Embed Link [5], or Upload New Content [6].

Creating Containers

When content is added directly through a course, a new container is automatically created for you with the title of the course

When clicking on the Create Container button, a new container is created and nested under the course container. You can view the content of the container by clicking on the List icon [1]. Alternatively, you can select the entire playlist within a container by clicking the Select Playlist button [2].

The name and description of the container can be edited or the container can be deleted by clicking on the Edit menu [2].

Recording a Video

Clicking the Record Video button allows you to record a new video directly within the course. To record, select which camera and microphone you will be using under Recording Devices [1].

You can start, stop, or pause [2] the recording and watch a Preview [3] of the video prior to Submitting [4].

Embedding Content

After clicking the' Embed Link' option, you will be asked for a URL [1] and a Title [2].

Use the Open in Windowed Mode toggle [3] to open the video in a new window.

When using a YouTube URL, the content cannot be opened in a new window and the toggle will be hidden from view

Uploading Content

To upload content that is saved on your device, you can drag and drop that file onto the upload window [1]. Alternatively, you can select the file you wish to upload by clicking Upload File [2].
