When I edit a team members Goal as manager I can not edit or add Goal sub tasks
As manager if I edit an employee Goal I can not add new or edit existing Goal Subtasks.
I end up having to delete the Goal and start again.
Is this managed by a setting somewhere?
Thanks

Hi Troy,
This is actually designed that way intentionally. The employee will have to make changes to the goal and sub-tasks after creation. This helps to encourage conversation between the employee and manager so the manager cannot change the goal without informing the employee. Managers can only alter those pieces when they are first creating the goal.
I do agree that it would be better if the manager could edit and that a notification would be sent to the employee that edits have been made. We have run across this same issue and it is especially problematic when an employee moves from one manager to another. You should put in a feature request describing how you would like for the tool to work.
Kindly,
Amy
I was just discussing this with a manager yesterday, and echo Amy's answer.
I'm torn, though - I like that only employees can set these pieces of a goal, as I think it will encourage more communication and clarification about what the sub-tasks/action steps and specific details should be, as opposed to having a manager assign everything they "think" to a report and move on.
That said, the manager I spoke with made the excellent point that he's already done much of this work (when designing the goal), so to some extent it will be duplicative to have the employee type it up/rewrite it.
I still think the conversation - and therefore the understanding - is important!
