RISE SCORM Settings
I'm having issues with the SCORM settings on RISE courses in Bridge. I want learners to be able to review the course after they are marked as complete. With the following settings, Bridge remembers the learners progress up until they complete the course. It marks them as complete, but when the learner goes to review, it resets their progress (keeps the completion).
- SCORM 2004, 4th edition
- Track using course completion 100%
- Reporting - Passed/Incomplete
- Navigation - Restricted
It works as expected in SCORM Cloud, but I just can't get it to work in Bridge. The only way to get it to work is if I change it to SCORM 1.2 with a 95% course completion and everything else the same. I'm fine leaving it that way, just wondering why 2004 wouldn't work. I should also mention that I have no issues with Storyline 360 courses in Bridge working as expected. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey, Mandi Coulter! Have you submitted a support ticket to support@bridgeapp.com. I ask because we are happy to help you troubleshoot the course.

Hi Stephanie! I talked briefly with the chat folks but they assured me anything with SCORM not working correctly is on the software/packaging side, not Bridge. They mentioned possibly reaching out to their colleagues, but I haven't heard anything. So I thought maybe someone else using the system has run into the same issue.

Eric - were you able to get it to work if you package as 1.2 as well? the 2004 works in SCORM Cloud for me and my first thought was that it had to be on the Bridge side BUT I did find a post from someone who was having a similar issue with Storyline doing the same thing when packaged as 2004 4th edition (link) and Articulate suggested using passed/incomplete or passed/failed until the issue was resolved. That wasn't the issue for me since my original package was passed/incomplete per Bridge recommended settings. But, it seems to be something known to Articulate. I'm posting there now.
Edit: Also, I'm running a debug RISE course in Bridge now to see if that gives me any insight into the issue - I'll let you know what I find out :)

Hi Mandi...appreciate you using this forum for help.
I ran into similar issues with our SCORM content. I've been using iSpring to publish and found that using 2004 gave me mixed results. I have one Compliance course in 2004 that works well and had another one that just wouldn't return the right results, so I switched it to 1.2 which did provide more consistent treatment of the results.
My interest in this topic stems from a planned move from iSpring to Articulate next month. I was wondering if iSpring was just a little less stable/advanced. Ultimately, using something like SCORM Cloud to get the debug logs was what was needed to figure this out. I'm no expert on SCORM Cloud, but considering that I am a one-person show with my company it seems like something worth spending time on.
In summary, it would be great if we had some sort of guidance on suggesting settings for various courses. As you had posted initially, something like this would be great:
NOTE: These are EXAMPLES only; not verified to be accurate!
1. View All Slides, Return Pass/Incomplete, Allow Review:
- SCORM 2004, 4th edition
- Track using course completion 100%
- Reporting - Passed/Incomplete
- Navigation - Restricted
2. Reference Any Slides, Completion Not Required:
- SCORM 1.2
- Track using course completion 0%
- Reporting - Complete/Incomplete
- Navigation - Free
