In this Bridge Learn release (Apr 26), Backend updates to the learning services leverage new APIs, which make some existing ones obsolete; change coming May 31, 2024.

Deprecation And Changes For The Learning_Items Functionality 

We have made updates on the backend for the Learning service, which leverages new APIs and, therefore, will make some of the existing APIs and associated data obsolete.

The following data will be deprecated:

  • GET /api/author/learners/:learner_id/learner_items
  • DELETE /api/author/learners/:learner_id/learner_items/:id
  • Use Author - Enrollments API / Delete an enrollment (DELETE /api/author/enrollments/:id) moving forward
  • Data Dump:
    • POST /api/admin/data_dumps “learning_items” option*
    • GET /api/admin/data_dumps/download “learning_items” option*
    • Under Admin > Tools > Download All Data, The “learning_items” checkbox will be removed, and the data will be unavailable in the data dump.

You will want to use Analytics for this information after May 31st.
