Learner and Instructor in Practice

Rory Sacks

We have started using a demo environment for Practice and had a couple of questions for the community. We want our employees/learners to be able to be both a participant in an exercise and (for those that are managers) to be able to be instructors. It seems as if either Practice doesn't allow this or we just haven't figured it out. Is anyone out there having managers both participate and grade in the exercises?

    Hi Rory Sacks,

We are working through some of this also. Practice doesn't like to mix permissions.

We have been breaking up the exercises by audience. So everyone might receive the same exercise, but we create different versions of it to go to different audiences. One goes to frontline staff, one goes to leaders, etc. This way the leaders can be managers for their teams, but they can still participate with the other managers as peers. The frontline team won't be able to see the manager submissions, nor critique them, but we have some ideas on how to give more visibility to model examples. We're looking at using a Bridge Learn course to set up the exercise. This will allow us to add more model responses to set the stage for the Practice exercise before they get to it.
