Custom Certificates of Completion

Tom Baird

As we've been trying to move more of our company's content to Bridge, we've run into a problem - that is, the certificates don't match anything we use historically, and even if we wanted to change, can't be realistically customized.

That I can find.

If they can not, is there any plan for adding this in the future?

If they can, will someone please show me how? Even if it's a bit of a hack, it'd be a HUGE time saver to have Bridge automatically issue it vs having to switch to a different internal system JUST for a certificate.

Thanks!

When we first went with Bridge the only option for customization was to pay for pro services. We opted to stick with the generic certificates. I'm guessing you could add a course or a checkpoint to the end of the program and force the sequence. If you choose to use a course, just make it have a certificate download. Of course, it won't include the learner's name. If you use a checkpoint, it could notify a designated person or group that the learner is ready for their customized certificate, that you would have to make. Just be careful because unless there has been an update, checkpoint approvals that go to groups of people don't kick off a notification that the approval is waiting. They only work when assigned to individuals.

    Good luck,

Customizing Certs was on the development roadmap when we went live with Bridge over 18months ago, this hasnt moved on and we can only use the standard certs with our branding. Maybe Instructure can give us an update on where this idea is in the roadmap ?

    Hi Trip,

I would check with your CSM on that one. He or she is more likely to be able to locate that information than the Bridge folks who run the community.

    Best,

    Amy
