Live Training Restrictions?

Is it possible to have more control over restrictions around enrollment into live training? We have a Learning Program that contains eLearning courses + Live Training. We want learners to attend a specific date and not be able to reschedule themselves for other dates. We have tried:

• Putting the capacity to zero, which changes and defaults to unlimited, and
• Creating a Test Profile to hold a seat, changing capacity to 1, so it shows as full. But then we need a different profile for each date, as a user can't have multiple registrations for the same event. 

We have considered creating a new Live Training for each separate date of the same training.  

Has anyone else perfected workarounds to keep people from swapping enrolment dates?

  Joe, how about setting the capacity to 1 and assigning the trainer only or simple someone who you know can skip it?
