Link a survey to a course, program or live training. Or automate a survey after a training.
Thanks for the idea. We've heard that the problem this is looking to solve is to primarily provide feedback on a course. If so, we agree that this is a valuable piece of data for an instructional designer. We'd like to not use surveys for this but actually provide more course-based feedback so that it flows with the actual course format and displays the data within the course summary page. Surveys wouldn't allow you to do that. I haven't talked with the product manager yet, but when I do, I'll provide an update on any timelines or priority.
Could work. We also need a solution for live training.
Is it possible that you could create a "Survey Quiz Question"? That way it could be built directly into the course by just adding survey questions to the end of the course like a quiz question.
Also, Jordan Hamilton is this a request by a client?
Yes, but I can't remember which one.
Is there any way we can sort through examples when we are training.. so
they don't show up for you?

For our courses, we've added an additional slide to the end of each course that allows the learner to provide feedback about the course. Rather than using a survey, we have a hyperlink that takes our learners to our SharePoint site, where they can submit a feedback form on the course.
Ideally, it would be nice to have a templated "Feedback Slide" as an option from the content menu when authoring a course. The slide could contain a text field in which the user can type in their feedback. Once completed by the learner, an email could be automatically generated and sent to the site admin with the following information:
- Learner's Name and Email Address
- Course Name and Date/Time of the Feedback
- The Learner's Feedback Text
Alternatively, if authors could create a "mailto" hyperlink on a course slide, learners could click the link, which would then open the learner's email client with the recipient's email address (site admin) and the subject line (course title) as pre-populated values.
We also have a slide for feedback but use a link to a survey monkey survey to capture course feedback. We would love to be able to capture course feedback but have a slight variation as we wish to capture course feedback for our courses which are shared with many sub accounts.
- Root account shares a course with many sub accounts
- Users can complete course feedback survey
- Results funnel back up to the root account course which was shared with the sub accounts
- Results capture which user and which sub account they belong to
anne spencer submitted a similar idea: As an AUTHOR, I want to automatically Trigger a survey after a program is completed by a learner
I like the idea of having a function to trigger a survey after a program/course is completed. However, it would be nicer if it is a function that the author or Admin can decide to provide by clicking the thumbnail just like the library function. thanks
From Julie Crowley: Course evaluation surveys are typical to help us improve. Cut down on the number of steps required to send a survey by allowing a survey to be linked to a course. Provide an option to trigger distribution of the survey when the course is completed. Applies to both online and live training.
This would work if surveys had the same question functionality as the 'add question' feature in the course authoring tool. At the moment surveys only ask 'Likert questions' which is limiting for collecting course feedback.
We really really need this to adopt Bridge as our LMS.
What course evaluation data are we able to capture and download? We need to be able to aggregate course evaluation data. The systems we are currently using aggregates quantitative data automatically within configurable date ranges. We run reports that show course performance over time for our instructor led training. The data we need includes not only responses to quality of training, but all quantitative comments (which we analyze for themes). We also need to be able to look at registration trends, attendance levels and no show rates. Does Bridge do this yet or will it? Where is that in the roadmap?
Are you using the Experience/Tin Can API with your current systems? If not, it might be worth looking into.
We're starting some research into Rate and Review of Courses which is connected to some of the use cases of individuals on this thread. If this is you, we'd appreciate your insight and feedback in a survey, linked below. This survey does collect some open-ended responses so it may take anywhere from 5-10 minutes. The survey is anonymous.
We do plan on scheduling some one-on-one interviews regarding this in the near future. I'll also keep you up to speed on that for those who are interested.
Access the survey here.
Thanks, as always, for a couple minutes of your time to help us make Bridge even better!
Nathan commented on an idea: "I would love to attach a survey to a course or a program that would automatically notify a learner when they have completed the course/program. It would also be cool if I could add a survey to a program and make it mandatory."
A simple toggle in course settings would be great, like a "turn rate/review/survey off/on" for this course/event.
Great idea Steve!!!
Not only do we need to be able to gather course feedback via evaluations we need to be able to access and analyze the data both at the individual course level and for a set of courses in a given time period. Can you discuss what your plans are for providing data analytic tools? Thank you.
We are in research about this. Currently we're just wrapping up a survey. After that we'll be moving into more directed research on designs and we'll keep this thread updated, so make sure you're following it to receive notifications! We'd love to include you in that phase!
The lack of survey enrollment functionality is by far the most frustrating element of Bridge.
A survey should:
@Ike Bennion, like @Julie Crowley, we also need the option for assessments to be linked to live training. Our first rollout of Bridge is exclusively live training applications. We will also eventually be rolling out courses however we need an integrated assessment solution for both.

Free tools like Google Forms are doing a better job than Surveys currently. Is there an update here?
Although you are working with Embedly to allow us to embed surveys, this isn't a sufficient solution for reporting. The goal is a one-stop shop LMS, and creating, implementing and reporting using a partner survey tool creates a big hassle for Admins. Please consider a survey tool that is embedded in courses/live trainings/check points/programs that allows for reporting for those elements.
