We often deploy our content in Programs, and utilize Checkpoints (requiring approval) within those Programs. When pulling completion reports for the Program, we can easily identify who is complete, in progress, or not started.
Unfortunately, we have no way to identify if a learner is pending approval for a checkpoint and has completed the learning content OR if the learner is truly incomplete by not finishing the content. We also have no other information on checkpoints regarding when they were submitted, who the approver is etc.
I would suggest that checkpoints report be created that includes:
- Learner Name
- Learner UID/Email
- Checkpoint Name
- Date and Time submitted
- Date and Time approved
- Approver Name (Manager, Specific Person, or Group)
- Approver UID/Email (as applicable)
Having a report with this information would allow us to action the correct individuals. Currently we are reaching out to incomplete learners, but we have no way of knowing if they are slacking or if their manager simply hasn't approved the checkpoint in a timely manner. Our managers may also not understand the checkpoint approval process, but I have no way of knowing because there is no report to identify what checkpoints are pending approval and for how long.
We need more information to keep our learners and managers accountable in an effective manner.
