It would be great if in the attachments area, you could include a link to a document that would live in Arena PLM. That would really help with version control.
Hey Jacob. I want to make sure I understand this idea. Attachments can be added to courses, course slides, checkpoint instructions, and uploaded as evidence for a checkpoint. Is there a specific area of Bridge where these links would be most helpful? Also, is there anything specific to Arena Solutions (I think I got the right one) or would it be just as well if the link could be any link or possibly even just plain text?
I'll place this idea in moderation for now until you get a chance to respond and then we will go from there. Thank you for taking the time to create an idea and help me understand it.
Yeah, those are good questions. I think the Attachments area of a course
would be the area I had in mind. And plain text might be okay, because (I
think) we could just insert a link to the document. The main reason for
this ask is that we don't want to upload static documents to Bridge. And
yes you have the right Arena Thanks, Adam!

Thanks for coming back to respond Jacob. Based on that information, I was looking at how I might link to relevant URLs in my courses. There are two ways that I think it could be currently done that might work for you. If there is a single URL that is very important for the course it could be placed in the description area.
If it is expected to have several URLs to multiple files, a slide could be created in the course called, "Arena Documents" and each URL could be placed on a page with other information to help give it context.
Do you think either of these solutions would work or should we move this idea forward specifically for including URLs or text in the attachments area of a course?
