I'm using the latest version of both Chrome and Firefox on Mac and neither will spell check anything I do in the Bridge editor. Spell checking in both browsers everywhere else.
Bridge doesn't have an inherent spell check, but browsers do. We did do a significant upgrade on our editor and so some minor details, like this, may be a little funky. This is great feedback and I'll loop with our product managers to see if there's something we can't do from a development standpoint to see if we can bring back the functionality!

Just spoke with the help desk and was informed there is no spell check in the editor. I swear it was there prior to last update.
I think they are right that there hasn't ever been a spell checker built into their editor. However, all browsers have spell checkers built in and will check spelling by default as you type. Since they pushed changes to the editor no browsers spell checker work correctly. I think that for some reason the browser isn't recognizing the main editor as a text box or something. You'll notice that it does work in the slide title areas and in the smaller text box for the description on a cover slide. It's not a browser thing either because I also tried this in Safari and it's the same way. And, you're experiencing the same issues on a PC with various browsers. I'll probably reach out to my CSM to see if they can look into it a bit more.
