I would like to close a course after all assigned users have completed it. I have been told this is not possible. I find this very odd. Does any one have any work-arounds?
Hi Stephanie Marvin
You can set an expiration date for a course. How do I set an expiration and re-enrollment date for a course?
Have you explored this feature?
What is it you are trying to accomplish that you are not finding. Do you want the course to be taken off the list of courses (archive of sorts), or something else?
I was using smart groups to assign courses. Each month we send out a course that includes policy updates.- once everyone assigned completes the course I want it to be closed or archived. Only those originally assigned are required to complete the course so I do not want the smart group to continue running and automatically assigning new users.
I have now put out the May updates using a standard group rather than a smart group to see if that will eliminate the auto assignment issue.
I'm just curious if using a standard group rather than a smart one ultimately solved this issue for you?
No, the standard group did not work because it still updated previously assigned courses. I now assign each course by CSV file.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know. I'm sorry to hear that standard groups didn't do the trip but its good you have the work around with CSVs.
