Hello!
I would like to be able to break up a question on a question slide with a line break (being able to hit "Enter" or "Return" between sentences to put a sentence on a different line) to help with clarity in wordier questions. I've tried pressing "Return", "Return" + "Shift", "Return" + "Option", and "Return" + "Command" and none let me drop to the next line of text. Is there something else I can try?
Thanks!
Alyssa, as you've discovered, the interface in Bridge for creating a question stem is simple and streamlined, and as such, it doesn't afford formatting opportunities such as you've described. (I tried all the remedies you've suggested, to no avail.) However, a nice thing about the question creation process is that it allows you to display a slide in addition to, or in place of, the text. I created a more complex question in Google Slides (PowerPoint would work just as well for this purpose). After I finished composing my question, I exported it as a .png file and used the image as my question prompt for a short answer question; I entered what amounts to a title for the question in the text field itself, and toggled the question view so that the question stem appears at the top. This is how the finished question displays to the learner:
Perhaps this approach would work for you?
