Can I edit a course that has been shared to a sub account without affecting the course in the main account? Or are the courses totally linked so that if I modify it in one place, the modifications are visible everywhere else?
If I want to have a slightly different version of the course in my sub account, what is the best practice? To duplicate course and then edit?

i've never had to do this, yet, but I decided to test it out:
I just edited a course in a sub-account as the Account admin and the changes in the sub-account DID affect the master account, and vice versa. I did create a course in the sub-account and was able to see it in the master account but was not to able to edit it even as a super admin, i could just add it to my library. I also did a duplication of an account in the sub-account and again, the master account could not edit it but it could assign it to any group, etc. I'd say the workaround is to create duplicates, rename them slightly so someone in the master account doesn't accidentally edit it and don't add them to any master account groups or the master library.
I suspect Ike Bennion knows the real answer and/or can tell us if this is in the works.
