Testing our first course and I would like to remove a test learner and then re-add him to test the course. But when I do that, his old activities seem to be remembered?
Laurie, with regard to the SCORM aspect of the question, in SCORM courses there is an option in the settings area to migrate enrollment. If the learner completes the SCORM course, Bridge will keep it unless you enable that migrate option; resetting it doesn't keep the enrollment in that version. With external enrollment ID, the specific ID # follows them, so if you reset them in the course, they still have the same enrollment ID. The migrate option in settings allows you to give them a new enrollment ID.
Generally speaking, because each SCORM placement is unique, we recommend that our Bridge users reach out to support to troubleshoot SCORM-related questions. A member of Bridge Support will be able to look directly at the SCORM settings and get to the bottom of each issue.
Hi, Laurie, I apologize that no one from Instructure has responded to your question before now. Rather than removing and re-adding the learner, you'd want to use the Edit Learner Progress feature to remove the old activities by resetting the student. That's explained in How do I view course details? (scroll down to Edit Learner Progress to see how to reset the student).
I'm sorry, I phrased this question badly. I am able to reset learners in Courses. What I cannot do is remove a Learner from a Program. What I really want to do it remove myself from a Program and then re-enroll myself so I can test changes to the Program - and see it as if I was a totally new Learner.
Creat a “dummy user” account for testing purposes. Add them to the course and log in as them.
Oh, how I wish! Because of the way our users are populated, I don't have the ability to do that...
I have a course that's a SCORM in my Program. If I complete the SCORM, then update it - and reset myself - I still see the old version of the SCORM. So there's no way to test that either.
