I am looking to start a mentor program at my small company and am finding that the mentor program platforms are very expensive based on how small my company is. I was thinking I could use Bridge as the platform, utilizing the program functionality with checkpoints + "live trainings" and wanted to see if anyone has done something similar to this/would be willing to share?
Hi Ryan,
I have not done this in Bridge, but I believe it would work. You'd have to manually match people, but I think if you ran the program synchronously it would be easier to track everything and send out items in Bridge. For example, advertise the program and collect both prospective mentors and mentees, have them fill out a questionnaire (competencies are a good place to start) and match them. Then kickoff the program using a Live Training outlining roles/processes and set semi-generic, but synchronous timelines and use checkpoints and courses to track and guide the process. Like, everyone starts on this date and has two weeks to set up their first session, should have their goals defined by 4 weeks in, etc. That way you can see who is ahead/behind without being totally synchronous about it. Just some thoughts.
