Can I copy a slide from one course to use in another course instead of recreating the slide all over again?
Can I copy a slide from one course to use in another course instead of recreating the slide all over again?
Thank you, I was hoping I did not have to reinsert media and other images. Do you know if I can merge contents of two courses together?
Darine, while you can't merge the contents of two courses, you could create the first course, make a copy, and then add content to and delete unneeded slides from the copy as necessary. If I were building a number of courses that would all share some common content, I'd consider using the Embedly integration ( What content can be embedded in Bridge? and How do I embed content in Bridge?) to create the common content in an external application such as Google Drive; that way I'd only have to create the content once, and would also benefit from being able to manage changes and updates to the content in Drive and pushing it out to all of my courses rather than having to edit numerous individual courses.
Darine, I right-clicked on a slide and then clicked Select All | Copy to copy the slide content, then navigated to a different course, added a new slide, then used the Ctrl-V (or CMD-V) shortcut to paste the content. This successfully copied text and associated links, but not the media that was associated with the first slide; any media would have to be re-inserted into the new slide in the new course.
