When adding multiple users via CSV imported list of users is the existing user accounts will be duplicated.
One of the columns in your CSV import will be the unique identifier for the user (Bridge requires that column on an import). Many people have the user's email set as the unique identifier. The reason for that unique identifier is to prevent duplication of users.
If the CSV import includes a unique identifier that already exists in the system, it will update the existing user's profile with the information in the CSV, but will not create a new user. When a unique identifier is on the CSV that doesn't exist in Bridge, it will create a new user.
Because the unique identifier is the only thing it compares, be aware that in situations where someone changes their email because they got married or something like that, that can changed the unique identifier, which would then create a new user. If that happens, fixing it is pretty easy though.
Does that tell you what you wanted to know?
