I'm trying to download evidence that was uploaded for a checkpoint. I can't find anywhere to download the files and I haven't found anything in the help articles either. Help!
Hey Robyn Pulsipher Welcome to the Community! Are you the author of the checkpoint? If so, you go to the Author area of Bridge, then click on Checkpoints at the top of the page, and then choose the checkpoint you are intersted in. From the checkpoint page, you will see all the enrolled learners and their progress. Click the progress status (Open or Complete) and you should see any uploaded evidence for that checkpoint.
Thanks Adam Williams! I am the author of the checkpoint. When I look at the learners assigned to it, it only shows the name and the due date. All the learners have completed the checkpoint and uploaded evidence, but there is no progress status to click on. Is that a permissions problem?
Hmm, here is what a checkpoint looks like to me when I view it. Does it look different for you? Do you not have the Progress column?
I do not have a progress column or an approver column. I didn't make it necessary for someone to approve the checkpoint. Is there no way to download the evidence if there is no approver?
Hey again Robyn. I didn't know this so I had to ask some Support friends. It turns out that you can not acccess the evidence if you did not require approval.
Can you access it after the fact if you change the checkpoint to require an approver?
It might be good to put that information in the help documents, so other people don't run into the same problem. Either that, or make the evidence accessible to the author of the checkpoint.
This ABSOLUTELY needs to be in a Guide. I have sent a checkpoint out to 130 people thinking that I would be able to download thier evidence. I had no idea that it required an approver, now I have to have all these people email thier evidence to me which makes me look like I don't know what I'm doing!!
Unfortunately not, Robyn. Only the learner will be able to download the evidence from this checkpoint. I will let our Documentation team know about this, and if you feel there is a particular lesson in the Guides that it belongs in most, feel free to leave a comment on one of them. Our Documentation team is always reviewing the comments left on lessons and looking for ways to make them better. I'm personally glad you asked this question because in researching it I learned things myself.
