I am trying to edit an existing user, for example the Department or the manager but is it grayed out.
Is there a way to edit it?

Instructions for editing a user's info can be found at How do I edit a user's account information? There are two reasons why you may not be able to edit. First, this permission is only allowed for admins. You can learn more about roles and permissions in Bridge here. Second, if your instance is set up using AutoCSV for enrollments, you won't be able to change any user information manually.
Our AutoCSV runs overnight so if changes are made in our HR info system (HRIS), the changes won't show up until the next day. There is a handy little tool that can help you get that info pushed faster. I'm not sure what kind of magic it took our IT folks and our Bridge implementation consultant to get it set up, but once users are in the HRIS, we can go to Insights (admin only) and scroll to the bottom where there is a Sync Now button. Click it and magic happens and new users/new information appears in the system. I hope this helps!
