How do I make an administrator a manager as well? I am and administrator but I am also a manager however I don't have a manager's group in Bridge.
Interesting! I'm in the same boat - I'm a manager and admin and I don't see a group with my learners either. I had a whole response typed out and then I re-read your question to make sure I didn't miss anything and - wow - this is a cool problem.
Depending on your data feeds, you can still trick it into creating a group. We use auto-CSV and we have uploaded data for directors, managers, job title, location, and even the employee's name for use in smart groups. The employee name one was a little tricky. We uploaded it as a custom field so that we can assign to a specific job title and then exclude one person with that title who really doesn't need it without having to create the group manually. Tricky, but it works.
Anyway, if you are feeding in all of the right data, you can create a smart group and still call it "Janis's Learners" just like Bridge would if you weren't an admin and add the correct job titles if they are unique to your department. I'm lucky that mine are all unique to our L&D team. If they're not unique, you could use another option such as department, so long as you have your own department as a manager.
Hopefully this helps!
Thanks, I'll give this a try!
