With over 800 people being put on leave, how can I change the due date of certain courses without going into each course and changing the due date. We don't won't to change everyone - just those being put on leave.
We have had to change the due date on a few courses as well. I hope I can explain this well enough. What I do is pull the Enrollment Export then filter out the employees I am not changing and copy those remaining, that we need to change, to a new Excel spreadsheet and change the due date format to the xx/xx/xxxx and then add the new due date to everyone in the column and save it as a CSV. I then use that Excel file to Add via CSV to the course and drag the ID and then the Date Due to the correct columns and click Finish at the top. I hope this helps and that I explained it well enough.
Good catch, Clydia Davis. Glenna Stricklett a guide that will help with this process is available here: How do I upload historical course completion data with a CSV file? The only hiccup you may run into is if a learner has started the course and hasn't finished it. You may need to manually adjust some of those learners or try removing the enrollment via CSV and then uploading the new enrollment date. This should expedite the process though.
I have seen some folks using the API to do some of this stuff, so if you're using the API you may be able to utilize that tool to help with this process.
As Clydia Davis mentioned, I would recommend ALWAYS downloading the existing enrollments first and saving a copy. If you are a fan of messing stuff up like me, then you'll always have that original state to re-upload should you make a mistake when editing the enrollments.
