This article provides an overview of the menu items in the Talent Marketplace, and will walk customers (that have purchased Develop or Perform) through how to manage Skills as an Admin.
Job Titles page:
Admins can view all the Job Titles that are mapped to the Skill and can also manually add any other Job Titles to the Skill. Any new Skills that are added to the Job Title will also appear in the Job Titles page.
Admins can add Descriptors to each Skill and can indicate if it is Positive or Negative:
- The 31 default Bridge Skills will only have pre-populated Descriptors.
- These Descriptors are displayed when looking at Skill Feedback assessment requests.
Settings page:
On the Settings page in the Permissions tab, Admins have the ability to disable the Bridge skills library.
When toggled on: Skill searches within Bridge will be restricted to Skills that have been curated by Admins. Our Bridge skills library will be disabled, so users will only see Skills that an Admin has manually added or mapped to Job Titles in the Talent Marketplace.
When toggled off: Users will have access to our full Bridge skills library, and will be able to find and add skills to their Profiles, Development Plans, and Career Plan.
FAQ's for Managing Skills in Talent Marketplace:
Can Skills be archived?
Admins can archive any skill. Archived skills that were previously connected to a Course, Profile, Focus Skills or Skills Feedback request will be preserved. Archiving a skill will only impact the root account and not the sub-accounts.
Can Skills be deleted?
Admins can only delete Archived skills that aren’t already mapped to a Skill Feedback assessment or to a Course. Deleting a skill will only impact the root account and not the sub-accounts.
Can Skill names be edited?
Admins can only edit custom Skill names that were added by their organization.
What do the Skill tags signify?
There are three types of Skill tags which can be used as filters on the Skills page of the Talent Marketplace:
- Bridge (normalized) = Lightcast Skill Library (i.e. Skills added to Profiles). We have partnered with Lightcast who is a worldwide authority on labor market data and we utilize their library of 32k+ Skills.
- Bridge Default = The 31 Bridge default skills which are mapped to Lightcast.
- Custom = Custom skills manually added by the Admin that are not found in Lightcast.
