How do I add a file attachment to a course or live training?

You can upload files and attach them to a course or live training. Users can download the file attachments for offline access.

Bridge accepts PDF, PPTX, PPT, JSON, DOC, DOCX, CSV, XLSX, ZIP, JPG, TIF, GIF, PNG, SVG, MP3, MP4, AVI, WMV, and RTF file types.

Notes:
• Files can also be attached to individual course slides.
• You can upload more than one file at a time.
• Uploading a new version of an existing file will create a new copy of the file, not replace the existing file.
• Some features may be restricted based on permissions for your user role.

Open Author Menu

In the Global Navigation menu, click the Author icon. Then, click the Courses menu option.

Note: The Global Navigation menu may differ depending on what is enabled in your account.

View Attachments

View all attachments in the course, including the file name [1], date modified [2], and learner availability [3]. By default, attachments are sorted alphabetically by name. However, you can click a column header to sort attachments by name, date modified, or user availability.

Manage Attachments

To make a file attachment available to users in the course, click the Visible to Learners toggle [1]. The toggle will change from an x (unavailable) to a checkmark (available).

To download a file attachment for offline access, click the Download icon [2].

To delete a file attachment, locate the file and click the Delete icon [3].

Note: If a file attachment is made available for users, they will be able to download and view the file. Users will also receive a Completed Course notification containing these attachments once they have completed the course.

Choose Availability for Live Training Attachments

Live training attachments vary slightly from course attachments. Once a file has been uploading using the steps listed above, availability of the attachments can be set. This allows admins to choose whether to have the attachments available to the users once they register for the training or once the training has concluded.

To enable the availability option, click the Registration link.
