How do I manage Closed Captioning in Bridge Advanced Media?

The Closed Captioning Editor allows you to enable, upload, and edit closed captioning on a video.

Open Media

While editing a course, click the Media icon in the authoring toolbar.

Open Bridge Advanced Media

Click the Bridge Advanced Media icon. From this interface, select the Video Card that you will be editing.

Open the Video Editor

To access the Video Editor, first, click the Menu [1] on the container that houses the video. Next, select Video Editor [2] option.

Open Closed Caption Editor

To open the Closed Captions Editor, click on the Closed Caption icon.

Using the Closed Captions Editor

To enable closed captioning for the video, click the Closed Captioning button [1].

Captions are automatically generated, but in some instances you may need to edit the closed captioning text. Begin by clicking the Edit icon [1].

To edit the text, scroll to the text that you need to edit. Make your changes to the text and click Submit.

Bridge Advanced Media supports multiple languages, to translate the language of the closed captioning text, click the Translate icon [1].

Select one or more languages to be translated and click Submit.

Closed Captions are translated automatically to the languages you select and can be edited as needed by clicking the edit icon.

Alternatively, you can create your own closed captions by either using Speech-To-Text to automatically generate captions or Manually create captions in the language of your choice under Create New Closed Captions [1] or Upload, Edit and Translate Closed Captions [2].
