Skills Analytics Dashboard: An Overview for Managers

Bridge’s enhanced Skills Analytics dashboard gives managers and admins a powerful, unified view of workforce skills—making it easier than ever to understand strengths, close capability gaps, and confidently grow talent across the organization with the following updates:

  • Manager Visibility Into Their Teams’ Skills: This dashboard was previously only viewable by admins, but now managers can use this data to better understand skills strength across their teams.
  • New Widget: Workforce Skill Gaps will give instant visibility into skill strengths and gaps across your organization.

The Skills Dashboard consists of five sections, referred to as widgets.

Skills insights can be found within the Analytics > Skills Dashboard page.

Read on to see how Skills Analytics can help managers make more informed talent decisions.

1. Job Title Widget: See What Skills Matter

Managers can use the Job Title widget to see how many skills are mapped to job roles across their reporting hierarchy. This insight helps to set clear role expectations and ensures that employee development plans directly support business needs.

2. Content Skills Gap Widget: Direct Employees to the Right Learning

The Content Skills Gap widget gives managers a quick way to identify development areas their teams care about and ensure resources exist to support growth. Using this insight, they can ensure alignment between the skills organizations need and the ones employees want to develop.

3. Profile Completeness: Improve Skills Reporting

The Profile Completeness widget shows managers the skills direct reports have added to their Bridge profiles—including required skills, the ones they can help others with, and those they’re actively developing.

This data gives managers insight to ensure employees are adding the required skills to their profiles, enabling more personalized development plans and alignment with performance goals.

4. Workforce Skills Gaps: Target Employee Development

Managers can use the Workforce Skill Gaps to gain instant visibility into skill strengths and gaps across your organization. For each job title, they’ll see:

  • Skills Mapped: Total skills required for each job title.
  • Skills Reported: How many required skills employees say they already have.
  • Skill Gaps: The number of required skills that no one has reported having yet.

Using this data helps managers target employee development based on organizational requirements.

With Skills Analytics, managers get the insights they need to build a stronger, more future-ready workforce. From organization-wide trends to team-level gaps, Bridge delivers the clarity needed to grow talent with confidence.

FAQs: Company Skills Widget Visibility and Access

Why is the Company Skills widget only available to admins?

The Company Skills widget is designed to provide a complete, system-wide view of all skills across the organization, including skills that may not be tied to a specific team, role, or manager’s scope. Because this data is global and foundational to company-wide workforce strategy, access is limited to admins who are responsible for skills governance, taxonomy management, and organizational reporting.

Why do managers see the Company Skills widget, but with a count of 0?

Managers can see the Company Skills widget for context and consistency across Analytics, but the underlying data is not available at the manager permission level. As a result, the widget will display a skill count of 0 for managers.

This is intentional and helps:

  • Maintain a consistent Analytics layout across roles
  • Avoid exposing global skills data outside a manager’s scope
  • Reinforce that the widget reflects company-wide data, not team-level data
