You can create engaging assessments and quizzes in Bridge Author Pro (also known as Gomo) to test knowledge, reinforce learning, and provide instant feedback to learners.
Note: Before you begin, check that you have Admin or Author permissions in Bridge Author Pro. You’ll also need an active course topic where you want to add the assessment.
How to Set Up an Assessment in Bridge Author Pro
- Log in to your Bridge account and go to Author > Gomo.
- Click Courses in the left-hand navigation and + Create a new course or select an existing course to edit it.
- Click + Add Screen at the bottom of the left-hand menu, then select Add New Screen at the top of the expanded menu.
- Navigate to the Assets tab and select the Question dropdown.
What Question Assets Can I Add to a Course in Bridge Author Pro?
In the Questions dropdown, you’ll find the following elements:
Assessment Results
The Assessment Results asset is required when using any question asset. It displays a learner's total score for a topic. You can set a pass mark for an assessment and customize the feedback a learner will receive based on their score.
1. Select Add Screen > Add New Screen.
2. Drag the Assessment Results asset onto the screen.
3. Select Configure to set your pass and fail threshold parameters along with custom completion feedback.
4. Select Apply to save your settings.
Tip: Click Preview and answer all questions to ensure your Assessment Results screen accurately displays your overall score and pass/fail status.
Multiple Choice Questions
A Multiple Choice Question asset prompts learners to choose correct answers and delivers custom feedback based on their responses.
1. Drag a Multiple Choice Question asset onto the screen, then select Configure in the right-hand menu or double-click the asset to access settings.
2. Enter custom feedback text for correct and incorrect responses.
3. By default, three answers are populated. Select Add Item to add more answer options or select the trash can icon to remove unnecessary options.
4. Select the radio button next to the correct answer choice.
5. Adjust your allowed attempts or check Randomize Answers if needed.
6. Select Apply to save your changes.
Tip: For more ways to add multiple-choice answer formats to assessments and quizzes, use the Dropdown List or Select from a List assets.
Drag and Drop
The Drag and Drop asset allows one or more images to be placed into defined areas.
1. Add a Drag and Drop asset, then double-click it or use the Configure option to access the settings.
2. Enter a label for each drop area in each text box.
3. Click the trash can icon to delete an icon and + Add Item to add more drop areas.
4. Use the Drag items section to assign the drop area ID to the corresponding items and customize the images that learners drop into place.
5. Click Apply to save changes.

Graphical Multiple Choice
Add a Graphical Multiple Choice asset to allow learners to choose the correct answer from a set of images.
1. Add a Graphical Multiple Choice asset to the screen, then double-click the asset or use the Configure option to access the settings.
2. Set your pass/fail threshold parameters along with any custom feedback.
3. Click the three dots under the Image column header to select an image from your resource library or upload a new one.
4. Select the radio button next to the correct answer choice.
5. Click Apply to save your changes.
Tip: Use the Graphical Select from List or Hotspot Multiple Choice assets to add image-based interactivity to your assessments.
Text Input
The Text Input asset provides learners with space to enter text-based answers in response to prompts.
1. Drag a Text Input asset onto the screen, then double-click the asset or click Configure to access the settings.
2. Set your pass/fail threshold and add any associated question text.
3. Use the Initial text box to enter the prompt you want learners to see
4. Add the answers in the Correct answer boxes. To add more than one possible answer, separate them with ||. For example, “one||two||three”.
5. Click Apply to make your changes.
Tip: Use the Number Input asset for numeric-based questions.
Likert Scale
The Likert asset allows you to add slider interactions to your assessments and quizzes.
1. Drag a Likert Scale asset onto the screen, and double-click the asset or click Configure in the right-hand menu.
2. Configure your scale (e.g., 1-5 or Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree) under the Likert scale actions section.
3. Add your questions in the text box, and select the correct scale from the dropdown menu.
4. Click Apply to save your changes.
