How to Add Branding to a Course With Themes in Bridge Author Pro
Bridge Author Pro (also known as Gomo) equips you with a set of preset and customizable style templates (themes) you can apply to your courses to achieve a consistent look and feel and match your organization's branding.
How to Add Branding in Bridge Author Pro
This demo shows how to apply basic branding to a course in Bridge Author Pro, including switching themes, customizing colors, fonts, logos, and header settings.
Starting from an existing course (Training Model Course), navigate to Actions in the top-right corner and select Preview Course to see the current learner-facing appearance. Close the preview, then click Themes to access the theme editor.
The Themes tab opens to the current theme (Ponte in this example) on the Basic tab. A Basic tab covers core settings sufficient for most use cases. An Advanced tab provides additional configuration options.
To switch themes, click Switch Theme. All available themes are displayed, with the current theme highlighted by a red border. Select a new theme (Vinte in this example), confirm the switch in the dialog, then navigate to the Structure tab. A progress indicator around the theme icon shows Bridge applying the theme. Clicking the indicator displays per-stage progress. If you preview the course before the theme finishes applying, a screen shows the rebuild is in progress with a progress bar. Once complete, the preview reflects the new theme, including repositioned and restyled navigation menus, a new background image, and updated text styling applied consistently across all pages.
To customize a theme, navigate to the main Themes page from the side menu. Click the three dots on a theme card and select Duplicate and Customize to create a new editable copy. Enter a name and optional description, then click Save Theme. The new theme appears in the Themes library.
Click the three dots on the new theme and select Customize to open the Basic editor. Available customizations include:
Colors: Set Primary, Secondary, and Focus Ring colors using a HEX color code entered directly into the field, or use the color picker to select a color visually.
Header: Add a logo, update header text, and adjust alignment (available only for themes that support a customizable header). Click Edit to open the media library, which contains folders of previously uploaded resources. Select an existing image or upload a new one by navigating to the target folder, clicking the Upload icon, then dragging and dropping a file or clicking Browse Files. Select the file to add it, and it appears in the preview box with options to edit or remove it.
Fonts: Configure fonts for Title, Screen Titles, and Body Text. Select from the Font dropdown or upload a custom font (such as a Google Font). Set font size, formatting, and color independently for each text type.
Once satisfied with settings, click Save Theme. Settings can be edited again at any time.
To apply the custom theme to a course, return to the course, navigate to the Themes tab, click Switch Theme, select the custom theme, and confirm. The progress indicator shows the theme being applied. Preview the course via Actions Preview Course to review the logo, fonts, colors, layout, and icon styling as they appear to learners. The preview allows you to note any changes needed before finalizing.
