Learners can rate and review live training sessions they attend in Bridge. Viewing this aggregated feedback allows you to evaluate course design, identify patterns, and make improvements.
Note: Ratings and reviews are turned off by default. You must enable them in the course settings before learners can submit feedback.
Enable Ratings and Reviews in Live Training Settings
- Open the primary navigation and go to Author > Live Trainings.
- Select the name of the live training session you want to manage.
- On the training details page, click More Settings.
- Toggle the following settings on:
- Ratings Enabled allows learners to submit a 1-to-5 star score for a session they attend.
- Reviews Enabled allows learners to add optional written comments alongside their star rating.
Tip: Turn on Ratings Enabled to collect quantitative scores only. Turn on both Ratings Enabled and Reviews Enabled toggles to collect scores and written qualitative feedback.
View the High-Level Summary of Ratings
Click the Sessions tab on the training details page and locate the tile labeled “How are people feeling?”
This tile is beside your registration and attendance data. It gives you a summary of key metrics across all delivered sessions:
- Reviewed: The number of verified attendees who submitted a review out of the total number who attended (e.g., 18 of 24 attended). Unmarked attendance rosters will skew this ratio.
- Star rating: The average rating across all reviews, displayed as stars and as a numeric score out of 5.
- Sessions: The total number of sessions in the training.
Open and Review Submissions
Click the Reviews tab. You’ll find the “How are people feeling?” summary and a detailed table beneath it.
Each row in the Reviews table represents a single learner's submission and includes:
| Field | Description |
| Name | The learner's name and profile picture. Reviewers are not anonymous. |
| Session | The date of the session the learner attended. |
| Time | The start and end time of the session. |
| Ratings | The star rating the learner submitted (1-5). |
| Feedback | A comment icon for the written review. A solid icon indicates written comments. An outlined icon indicates a star rating only. |
| Submitted | The date the learner submitted or last updated their review. |
View Written Session Feedback
To read written comments, hover over or click the comment icon in the Feedback column. A tooltip will display the learner’s name and full text review.
Interpreting Live Training Feedback Trends
Click the Session column to sort and group by session date instead of a single average and pinpoint where adjustments are needed:
- Consistently low ratings across all dates: Indicates broader curriculum issues, such as core course material, pacing, or prerequisites.
- A single session outlier: Typically points to delivery factors unique to that instance, such as technical issues, instructor style, room setup, or time of day.
- High ratings with low response rates: A small sample size is not yet statistically significant. Check the total attendance and review count before modifying the curriculum based on early feedback.
