Will we ever see scheduled notifications happen?

Daria Zaikovskaia

In the last Q4 webinar, the subject of custom notifications was touched on again, but nothing was said on actually scheduling digests and notifications. Am I the only one who has a problem with disabling notifications for a week to move digests to a desired day? Is there some functionality that I'm missing?

Hi Daria! Great question – this is on our team's radar for this Quarter. Our product team will be looking at configuring timing of email notifications based on time zone.

We'll be in touch as soon as it's released.

Bumping this! Is there an ETA for custom notifications? Still eagerly waiting for this as it would solve a lot of issues.

Hi Eric! Thanks for the bump, I completely understand the excitement around this one. We currently have a number of customers beta testing custom notifications to ensure everything is working smoothly. Once it's fully tested and ready, we'll get it released as soon as we can! Appreciate your patience. 🙌

    “Excitement”, yes.

I honestly can't believe that we have to ask for this repeatedly. I have just had to follow this convoluted process of disabling and enabling notifications for manager digests only for it not to work. As a result, I have no idea now when the manager digest is scheduled for.

I've never seen anything like this in any product, ever.

Thanks for sharing your feedback, Daria, I understand the frustration with this one.

You're absolutely right that the current process isn't as intuitive or flexible as it could be, particularly when it comes to something as important as the weekly Manager Digest notifications. To clarify the current behaviour: these digests are sent as lower priority emails, which typically means they’re delivered around midnight in your local time zone. While disabling and re-enabling can change the day the email is sent, it doesn’t currently affect the time, which I appreciate isn’t ideal.

That said, the good news is that feedback like this is helping to drive the changes we want to see in future updates. Improving the flexibility around digest timing is already on our radar, and while I don’t have a confirmed timeline just yet, it’s definitely an area we’re looking to enhance.

In the meantime, if you’re finding that the digest isn’t triggering at all (even after reconfiguring), I’d strongly recommend getting in touch with support so we can take a closer look.

Thanks again for your patience, your feedback is genuinely appreciated and plays a big part in helping us improve the platform.

    Hello Daria Zaikovskaia,
Hi – I'm Susan, the new Director of Product.
I'm sorry to hear how frustrating that situation sounds. Is your need concerning the day of the week for notifications specifically, or are there additional concerns for notifications? We do have a beta program happening right now for custom notifications. I'd love to put you in touch with the product manager leading that charge.

    Hi Susan,

Thank you for replying in this thread. We had accidentally forgotten to turn notifications one evening, and that made our manager digest go on Tuesday instead of Monday. I'm including below the very detailed instruction the amazing support team wrote for us about how to move the notifications back to Monday:

"If we want to change this from Tuesday to Monday, these are the specific steps I would advise in this instance:

    1. At EOD Monday 05/26/2025, disable notifications for the account before midnight
    2. You can turn notifications back on at the start of the next day, so long as notifications are off at and around midnight account time, when the system would have otherwise mailed out the summaries to users
      • This will allow all other notifications to continue working throughout the day as needed
    3. Repeat this process each day until Sunday, June 1st

      • As the next scheduled delivery would have been Tuesday, May 27th, we need to pass that day so it doesn't continue to use that day as the delivery date
      • Turning on notifications on Sunday, June 1st, and allowing them to stay on through midnight into Monday will mean the queued summary emails will be able to go out Monday morning at midnight, shifting the delivery day from Tuesday to Monday."

It feels like an overkill solution for a simple problem.

I am in no way UI-UX designer, nor a software developer, but is something like this really difficult to implement for digests?

    Hi Daria,

My name is Simon, and I'm the Product Manager at Bridge.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I have some roadmap information to share.

We're currently exploring ways to improve notifications, including scheduling options for specific days and times.

While there isn't an estimated time of arrival for this feature yet, here are some images that illustrate what this enhancement could look like in the future.
