Bridge Live UK Round Up

Stephanie Kemp

I’m back in the States this week and slowly unwinding from another incredible live event with our customers. I had the pleasure of hosting 42 of our Bridge and Gomo customers in London as a catalyst to the larger World of Learning Summit. We spent most of the day in breakout sessions hosted by Bridge and Gomo subject matter experts.

These sessions supported invaluable group conversations where, together, we talked through common pain points, collaborated on best practices, and dialed into up-and-coming trends for training delivery. Without question, we’re at a pivotal point in the workplace where five generations are showing up as contributing members to teams with unique motivators, egos, and learning preferences. Resources across the board are limited while expectations remain high.

With this in mind, the creation of hybrid training programs was a hot topic (so much so that our partners at Domino’s UK delivered a talk track on the main stage at World of Learning dedicated to the success of their Manager Academy hybrid training program!).

Where do we start? How much micro-learning is too much micro-learning? Can you have too much micro-learning? How are Live Trainings in Bridge best configured to meet the business needs? And what volume of content should we be outsourcing?

These are a sliver of the questions that arose from those small group discussions and were the perfect segue into the customer panel I moderated at the end of the day. We unpacked top priorities, biggest challenges, and dabbled in emerging technologies that we view as shaping the future of employee learning. I also learned about two new tools that I’d never heard of before! Synthesia and 7 Taps both received some honorable mentions across the room for their AI capabilities and social-media-like content delivery.

This quote from Dave Strydom (Tain Global Capital) stuck out to me: “Integrations to almost any content source will be not just a trend but a requirement for any learning system in the near future.”

We hear you, Dave!

As always, AI poked in to say hi to the group. It’s amazing how conversations even six months ago talked about its rate of development in terms of years and, here we are, now talking about those same developments in terms of months. While the expectations around our own deliverables also increases to match this speed, there is no doubt that our human connection to the deliverables is still very much a priority.

Amanda Butler (Companies House), another panelist, stated, “The speed in creating content and courses is in high demand, but they still have to be accurate and effective.”

This conversation led us right into a synopsis of all the recently delivered features for Bridge and Gomo, including what is on deck for this quarter and beyond to 2025 (don’t forget that our product webinars can always be found here!). There is no greater feeling than the buzz of unveiling what we’ve been hard at work prioritizing for delivery (my personal favorite is improvements that we’ll be making to our search function in Bridge that includes better filtering and more options).

To all of my HR and L&D trailblazers, keep pushing the limits and fighting for tools that can meet you in the places you need to go in order to grow your people (for your organizations and beyond).
