We've gone away from incorporating video because they seem to malfunction. Plus you can't edit a video/footage if there are changes, obviously.

I use them all the time in my courses as our staff seem to like them.
I use OBS Studio to record and then edit in Davinci Resolve.
I upload in Bridge and then edit in Bridge (create the chapters and review/check/correct the subtitles).
I find that the media courses are not great for me as the videos are just a visual aid to the text in courses.
