What is Mobile Device Management (MDM)?
Mobile device management lets you securely and wirelessly configure devices, whether they’re owned by the user or your organization. MDM includes updating software and device settings, monitoring compliance with organizational policies, and remotely wiping or locking devices.
MDM solutions include software like JAMF, MobileIron and Microsoft Intune.
The Bridge mobile app supports configuration through MDM, for both iOS and Android devices.
What can be configured through MDM in the Bridge mobile app?
The Bridge mobile app can be deployed to managed devices through the App Store and Google Play. This means that all updates will be automatically deployed to devices.
In order to simplify the login process, the company’s login domain can be configured. When the domain is configured through MDM, the user will be presented with the Bridge domain that they can sign into. After tapping “Continue”, they will be asked to enter their SSO login credentials.
Configuring the login domain URL
The Bridge mobile app’s configuration contains a key-value pair for setting up the Bridge domain that employees can sign into. This can be configured through your MDM provider (e.g. JAMF, MobileIron or Microsoft Intune).
