Learner profiles are available to customers who either (1) have Skills enabled within their Learn accounts or (2) are Learn & Develop or Perform customers. For the purpose of this example, the screenshots provided are from a Learn account where Skills functionality is activated.
This feature allows for a more tailored learning experience, offering deeper insights into each learner's progress and development within the platform.
Learners have the option to personalize their profiles by adding a profile picture and a brief bio to highlight key information about themselves. Once updated, these profiles will be visible across the entire organization, promoting a sense of connection and community among team members.
Skills View
This is where Skills can be added to the profile. Skills are categorized in three ways: skills they have, skills they can help others with, and skills they want to develop. As users begin typing in a skill they would like to add, a pre-populated, company-wide list will appear, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization.
Interests View
Learners can freely add any text to describe their interests, allowing them to personalize their profiles further. If other colleagues have already entered similar interests, those will automatically pre-populate, making it easier to connect with peers who share common hobbies or passions.
Once updated, the learner's profile will resemble the example shown below and can be easily edited at any time. While these fields are optional, we strongly encourage users to fill them out. This not only helps teammates get to know each other better but also allows managers to provide more personalized support.
Colleagues can find a user’s profile in two ways.
Through the Org Chart
Employees can explore the entire organization by navigating to Company > Org Chart, where they can view all team members. The chart allows users to move vertically and horizontally to find colleagues across different departments. For more specific searches, the People Search feature is available. Clicking on any individual in the org chart will also provide an option to “visit profile” for a deeper look at their skills, interests, and experience.
Through the Skill Community
Another way to find a teammate’s profile is through shared skills. If a user has an interest in helping with a skill, or if a colleague can assist with a skill they are looking to develop, their profiles can be easily discovered through these connections.
