How to Add Skills and Personal Details to My Profile
Go to Me > My Profile and click Edit Profile and Skills.
This section is split into two tabs: Personal Details and Skills.
Personal Details
Your profile already includes your name, job title, and department. Your coworkers can also contact you via your email address.
You can choose to add any of the following details:
- A profile picture
- A brief description of your background, interests, or role
- Your preferred phone number
Click “Back to Profile” when you’re done editing. Once updated, this information will be visible to anyone in your organization when visiting your profile.
Skills
Adding skills to your profile helps you connect with relevant training resources within your learning library.
You can also find and connect with peers willing to be mentors and those with the same goals in the skills community.
Skills View
Your skills are organized into the following three sections in your profile:
- The skills you have
- The ones you want to develop
- Those you're willing to help others with
Search for a skill using the free-text search bar. As you type, a pre-populated, company-wide list will appear. Select a skill from the dropdown options to add it.
Bridge also provides recommendations associated with your job role. Select any of these skills and click X to remove them. Once you’re done, click Ok.
The skills you select are organized in a tabular view. Check the corresponding boxes to assign each one to a section in your profile.
Note: You must record that you have a skill before you can select it as one that you’re willing to help others with.
Interests View
Personalize your profile by adding your interests. If a coworker has already added a similar interest, it will already be pre-populated.
