FAQ

PERMISSIONS

Are you able to turn off the ability for managers to author content?

Yes, under Admin > Account Settings, you have the option to Limit Manager Permissions. This will limit managers from both authoring and enrolling their reporting line users into content.

Can managers see all of the available courses in Bridge? (Essentially, could they mistakenly enroll their team in something that wasn't relevant?)

Yes, by default, managers can view and enroll in all content. They can not edit content unless it was authored/created by themselves. We have some more details here.

Is there a way Senior Leadership can filter to see the progress just for their direct reports?

They could create their own smart group and then use filters in Analytics to generate a report only for that group.

CONTENT

If we have a manager course that we only want managers to see the content, what filters should we use in terms of relevance for their eyes only?

This is the perfect reason to have a manager group with a “Y” or “N” value to create a manager smart group. You can then create content and/or categories to expose content directed to them specifically. We have an article here on content visibility and another one here on using categories with smart groups.

Can you use Shareable links for courses that are not included in the Library (i.e. Required courses that are enrolled by admin)?

Yes! Anyone with this link will be able to enroll. We have some more details in this article.

NOTIFICATIONS

Is there a way to message the people that are in the not started and the unfinished status? Will that only message their direct learners or will that message everyone's learners?

Yes, the direct message option at the course level gives managers options to message their downline based on their status in the course.

Our notification emails come in on Saturdays. Can we change that date somehow?

Yes, it can be changed. It does require some effort in that you will need to pause the digest email at the end of everyday (before it sends around 2am EST) and then you can re-enable the digest after it’s supposed to send (after around 2am EST). You can do this pausing and re-enabling until the day you’d like for them to be sending. It will then stay consistent on that day.

Is there a way to change the look of the summary report that managers receive monthly for overdue learners?

There are no modifications available for notifications at this time.

ANALYTICS

We have our root account for employees but have a sub-account for our contractors. Is there an efficient way to set up direct reports through both accounts so managers can see their reports easily without the manager having an account in the subaccount?

As an Admin you can report on sub-account data from the root account. The account name filter will allow you to filter by account or de-select the root account as a way to “select all.” You could then leverage filters for ‘Manager Group Name’ and use the scheduling feature to deliver these reports to your managers on a set cadence.

When you bookmark the filters for the report will it refresh the data to date?

Yes, using a bookmark for filters on a report will populate the data based on the day of report generation.

Can we, as Admins, see the reports that managers are pulling?

There is no tracking of reports that are pulled by users.

You can masquerade as a manager to see what reports they have scheduled, but there are no alerts or reports around this metric.
